Our verdict: Darktrace
Darktrace is a solid choice for mid-market and large enterprises wanting advanced behavioral detection without tool sprawl. Its autonomous AI is impressive, but the entry budget (rarely under €50,000/year) and deployment complexity reserve it for organizations with an active IT security team. Small businesses and SMEs lack the resources to extract value: move on.
Our verdict: Vectra AI
Vectra AI is built for large enterprises and mid-market companies with mature SecOps teams capable of handling the signal it produces. Its hybrid on-prem/cloud network analysis is among the most accurate on the market. For SMBs, cost and operational complexity are prohibitive; an SMB is better served by a managed MDR. Choose Vectra if you already have an active SIEM and an in-house security analyst.
