Our verdict: L'Addition
Best for bars and restaurants in France who want a register certified by an accredited third party, guided installation, and a complete foodservice ecosystem from click-and-collect to purchasing. Outside France the certification argument falls away, and with it most of the case for the product. Not for you if you want to compare prices without a sales process, or if your technical team wants to develop its own connectors: APIs are not open to the public.
Our verdict: Lightspeed Restaurant
Best for structured restaurants and multi-location groups in France who want a POS certified by an accredited third party and a broad ecosystem of integrations, from reservation to accounting; outside France, the same product without the certification argument. Not for you if you are opening a small establishment on a tight budget: EUR 89/month for a single license, plus EUR 49/month per additional terminal and a card commission on top, remains expensive against equivalent French offers.
We look at what you actually need and tell you which one to set up (or a third that fits better).
