Our verdict: Smartcat
Smartcat is ideal for SMBs with regular translation needs who want to combine AI and human translators without managing contractors outside the platform. Marketplace access is limited to Enterprise plans: if you need third-party translators from the start, negotiate an Enterprise plan or evaluate Phrase.
Our verdict: Taia
Taia is the right option for a lawyer, consultant or tradesperson who needs to translate documents occasionally without committing to a big subscription. For site or app localization, the platform isn't designed for it: prefer Weglot or Crowdin instead.
