Blue Prism
RPA and agentic automation platform focused on regulated large enterprises, with strengthened governance and traceability
Overview
Blue Prism (SS&C Blue Prism) is an agentic automation and RPA platform designed for large organizations with high governance requirements: banks, insurers, public sector. It covers automated process design, orchestration of AI agents and digital robots, and a catalog of ready-made connectors and skills via the Digital Exchange. Unlike competitors more focused on SMEs, Blue Prism publishes no pricing grid on its website: there is no free plan or pricing page, with all licenses (Enterprise, AI Gateway, Chorus, Process Intelligence) negotiated on request with sales teams or reseller partners based on the number of processes and robots deployed.
The Blue Prism product interface offers language support including French from version 6.7 onward, but the official blueprism.com website remains English-only with no French version. The publisher highlights security certifications and complete traceability of agent actions, a strong argument for regulated sectors, without displaying a general GDPR guarantee on its public site. APIs and connectors for Salesforce, SAP, and ServiceNow are available via the Digital Exchange. The major limitation is the complete absence of public pricing and a steeper learning curve than competitors more oriented toward low-code, making the tool poorly suited to a small organization without dedicated technical staff.
Our verdict
Best for large enterprises in regulated sectors needing strengthened governance and traceability of their automations. Not for you if you run an SME or have a one-off need: there is no free plan or public pricing, and implementation requires significant technical support.
