Bolt.new
Describe your app in plain language and Bolt.new generates, runs and deploys it entirely in your browser
Overview
Bolt.new, built by StackBlitz, lets you generate a complete web app (frontend, backend, database) from a natural-language description, then execute and modify it live in the browser using WebContainers technology, with no local installation. You chat with the AI to refine the interface, fix bugs or add features, then deploy the result to Netlify in one click or export the code to GitHub. The free plan offers 1 million tokens per month with visible Bolt branding; the Pro plan ($25/month) unlocks 10 million tokens and removes the badge.
The tool has no dedicated public API for automation, but integrates with Figma to import designs, plus GitHub and Supabase for data persistence. No French interface is available: the entire process (prompts, error messages, docs) happens in English. Bolt.new excels at rapid prototyping and MVPs, but generated apps typically need technical review before serious production use, especially around security and scalability.
Our verdict
Best for entrepreneurs, consultants and small teams who want to test an app or website idea quickly without hiring a developer from the start. Not for you if you need a French interface, an API to automate generation, or if your project requires code reviewed and maintained by an engineering team from day one.
