Bright Machines
Intelligent industrial assembly automation through software robotics
Overview
Bright Machines combines modular robotics and AI software (Brightware Platform) to create flexible, intelligent assembly lines, primarily for electronics, data centers and discrete manufacturing. Their Microfactory concept groups pre-configured robotic cells deployable quickly and reconfigurable for product changes. Over 130 Microfactories are already deployed worldwide.
The Brightware platform integrates computer vision and machine learning to supervise and automatically adjust the assembly process in real time. Bright Machines integrated an LLM module to let operators query the line in natural language. It is a full-stack hardware plus software solution with a project model, not standard SaaS.
Our verdict
Suited for electronics manufacturers, systems integrators and data centre builders wanting to industrialise a new assembly line quickly with high automation levels. Entry ticket is high (hardware project plus on-site deployment) and ROI is justified for significant production volumes. A startup-stage SME will first move towards software solutions like Tulip or LandingAI.
