Dante AI
AI agent for websites billed at fixed rate, with no per-conversation surcharge unlike most competitors
Overview
Dante AI lets you create a conversational agent trained on your own documents, web pages, and knowledge bases, deployable on a website, in a widget, or via API, with support for multiple AI models of your choice (GPT, Claude, Gemini). The Free plan is free with 100 response credits per month after a 700-credit welcome bonus. The Starter plan, at $40 per month, includes 2,000 credits; Advanced, at $120 per month, 8,000 credits with lead capture; Pro, at $400 per month, 30,000 credits with API access and human takeover of conversations. Dante bills at a fixed rate per plan and explicitly claims the absence of per-conversation billing, positioning its competitors between $0.99 and $2.50 per resolution.
Dante AI offers no French-language interface on its official website, which remains English-only. The Enterprise offer includes a custom Data Processing Agreement for regulated organizations, but no general GDPR compliance is displayed for standard plans. An API is available from the Pro plan onward, complementing integrations with Zapier, Slack, WhatsApp, Messenger, and WordPress. Honest limitations: beyond monthly credit quota, each additional 1,000 credits costs $20, and top-tier AI models consume up to 25 credits per response, which can deplete a Starter plan in a few hundred exchanges if you choose a high-performance model.
Our verdict
Best for SMEs who want a predictable budget for their conversational agent with no surprises tied to conversation volume. Not suitable if you need a French-language interface or very intensive usage: advanced models drain credits quickly from entry-level plans.
