EOS Data Analytics (EOSDA Crop Monitoring)

Satellite monitoring of farm plots with AI for crop health, weather and irrigation

Agriculture

Overview

EOS Data Analytics is an American-Ukrainian player in agricultural satellite imagery operating its own EOS SAT-1 satellite while aggregating data from 20 partner constellations. The Crop Monitoring platform offers NDVI tracking, weather alerts, soil moisture, crop rotation and yield forecasting, all accessible via web interface or API. The free plan covers a single plot up to 300 ha, making it an accessible entry point.

Paid plans start at Essential (up to 1,000 ha) and climb to Enterprise (5,000+ ha with custom pricing). The platform is distributed on AWS Marketplace, simplifying integration for cooperative IT. Satellite revisit frequency is 3-5 days under normal conditions (sufficient for seasonal tracking, insufficient for urgent decision-making in climate events).

Our verdict

Good quality-to-price compromise for a cooperative wanting serious satellite monitoring without complex enterprise contracts. The free plan is genuinely usable for testing. Main limitation: no French-language interface and detection accuracy inferior to drone-based solutions like Taranis or Hummingbird on the small, fragmented plots typical of France.
