Factory AI

Autonomous development agents (Droids) to automate coding, review, testing and documentation across entire software repository

Development & no-code

Overview

Factory AI offers autonomous agents called Droids, capable of handling end-to-end software engineering tasks: code generation, review, testing, documentation and incident response, controllable from the web, IDE, command line or Slack. Pricing organizes into usage tiers with no free offer: the Pro plan costs $20/month with a usage tracking dashboard; the Plus plan at $100/month multiplies the throughput limits of the Pro plan by approximately five and adds access to Droids Computers, managed cloud infrastructure; the Max plan at $200/month multiplies limits by approximately ten and gives early access to new features. Business (up to 150 members) and Enterprise offers are billed on request with SSO and dedicated deployment.

Factory AI offers no French interface: the website and documentation are exclusively in English. The editor does not communicate a GDPR certification on its public pages; however, the Enterprise offer allows dedicated compute infrastructure and on-premises deployment options for organizations with data residency constraints. Droids connect to GitHub, Slack, Linear, Sentry and Jira to automate the development cycle, and a documented API allows programmatic control of sessions, wikis and analyses. The main limit is the absence of any free tier: even exploratory usage requires the Pro subscription at $20/month, and the throughput limits of the Pro plan climb fast with truly autonomous usage.

Our verdict

Best for teams who want to delegate entire engineering tasks to autonomous agents connected to your existing tools (GitHub, Linear, Sentry). Not for you for occasional or solo use: there is no free tier, and the $20/month entry plan climbs fast with intensive agent usage.
