Overview
Granola is an AI-powered meeting note app that never joins a call as a participant: it captures your computer audio directly in the background while you take your own raw notes, then enriches and structures them automatically once the meeting ends. This bot-free approach avoids the discomfort of an extra visible participant in Zoom, Meet or Teams. The Basic plan is free with limited meeting history. The Business plan, at $14 per user per month, unlocks unlimited history, an AI chat across all meetings, shared folders and API access. The Enterprise plan, at $35 per user per month, adds admin controls and organization-wide sharing.
Granola offers neither a French-language interface nor site: the product remains entirely in English, though transcription recognizes multiple languages including French on its desktop and mobile applications. Data is hosted in the United States in a dedicated AWS environment (VPC), with SOC 2 Type 2 certification and a documented GDPR compliance commitment available on request, but no European hosting option. The API and integrations (Notion, Slack, HubSpot, Attio, Zapier) are accessible only from the Business plan: the free plan, though unlimited daily, is not suitable for teams that need to automate sending meeting notes to their other tools.

Not for you if you seek a French-language interface or European data hosting: Granola remains English-only and hosted in the United States, and the API is accessible only from the paid plan at $14 per user.
