Inventory Planner

Demand forecasting and replenishment planning for multi-channel e-commerce brands, built by Sage

E-commerce

Overview

Inventory Planner, acquired by British editor Sage and sold as Inventory Planner by Sage, is demand forecasting and replenishment planning software for e-commerce brands and multi-channel retailers. It aggregates sales from Shopify, Amazon, WooCommerce or BigCommerce, calculates forecasts by product and warehouse, generates ready-to-approve purchase orders, tracks stock cover and flags stockouts and overstock. Budget modules and seasonal planning complete the suite. The editor publishes no pricing grid: the price is calculated on inventory volume managed and shared on quote, with a promise of unlimited users included regardless of plan, entry being through a sales demo.

Inventory Planner's interface and docs remain in English: no French version of site or product is offered, assuming a procurement team comfortable with supply chain English. The editor does not highlight European hosting or specific GDPR commitment on its product pages. The catalog exceeds fifty native connectors (Shopify Plus, Adobe Commerce, PrestaShop, Cin7, Brightpearl, Linnworks, NetSuite, Odoo, ShipBob, ShipStation), supplemented by advanced CSV connector and documented API in the help center. The limits mostly stem from the missing published price, requiring a sales cycle just to know if budget is attainable, and a need for clean sales data upfront: incomplete histories immediately corrupt forecasts.

Our verdict

Best for e-commerce brands selling across multiple channels losing revenue to stockouts or tying up cash in overstock: auto-synced sales and pre-filled purchase orders save real time. Not for you if your team does not read English or you want a published price: everything flows through a sales contact with no public reference point.
