Kapwing is a collaborative video editor in the browser, with team workspaces, AI captions, smart silence removal (Smart Cut) and background removal. Since December 2025, all AI functions (captions, dubbing, lip-sync) draw from a unified credit pool. The interface is available in English.
The free plan keeps a watermark and 720p resolution limit; the Pro plan ($16/month annual) removes the watermark, unlocks 4K and 200 GB cloud storage; the Business plan adds team collaboration and custom branding. Kapwing offers a REST API for programmatic video editing/rendering plus a plugin system, with partnerships like Sieve for automating lip-sync.
