Katana

Cloud MRP for makers and D2C brands: BOMs, production orders, and real-time stock linked to your online stores

Gestion de stock

Overview

Katana is production and stock management software (cloud MRP) for makers and brands that produce then sell online. It links BOMs, production orders, raw material purchases, and available stock to give real-time visibility on what can truly be sold and made. A free plan exists, capped at 30 SKUs but with unlimited users, integrations, and locations. The Core plan starts at $299/month with unlimited SKUs, users, and integrations, one location included, and usage-based billing beyond that. Paid add-on modules include traceability at $249/month, warehouse at $149/month, and production at $199/month. The Advantage plan, with custom integrations and a dedicated engineer, is quoted with an annual commitment.

The interface, documentation, and support are English-only, with no French version: this is the main barrier for a shop floor team in France. Native connectors cover Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Amazon FBA, and eBay on sales, QuickBooks Online and Xero on accounting, ShipStation, Shippo, and 2Ship on shipping, and HubSpot, Salesforce, and Pipedrive on CRM. PrestaShop and Cdiscount are not covered natively: you must go through Zapier or the open API, documented in a developer portal. The editor also offers AI assistant connections via MCP. Barcode and multiple locations are managed, but advanced warehousing sits in the Warehouse module charged at $149/month. The real bill quickly tops $299 once you stack two or three modules, placing Katana above an SME's budget.

Our verdict

Best for makers and D2C brands selling on Shopify or Amazon who must link BOMs, production, and stock in one tool, with a free plan to start under 30 SKUs. Not for you if your team does not work in English or if your software budget is under $300 per month: add-on modules quickly double the cost.
