Loom

Record and share explanatory videos in one click, with AI-generated summaries and transcripts

Video & audio

Overview

Loom is the reference tool for async video recording: screen, webcam and voice in one click, no editing needed. Since Atlassian's 2024 acquisition, the Business + AI plan adds strong AI features - edit by transcript, automatic filler word removal ('um'), auto-generated titles, summaries and chapters. The free Starter plan allows 25 videos total (not per month) and up to 10 users in a shared workspace.

Loom offers no public API for third-party developers; integrations run through Slack, Notion, Salesforce, Jira or Zapier. The interface remains in English, but videos and their auto-captions work in spoken language (French is well-supported for transcription). The gradual shift to Atlassian billing has evolved pricing and user roles, which can surprise long-standing teams.

Our verdict

Best for small teams and consultants wanting to replace meetings with short videos (onboarding, support, sales demos, async feedback). Avoid if you're after a real video editor for polished marketing content - VEED.io or Kapwing will do better work - or if you need a fully French interface.
