Meticulous is an innovative automated testing tool that generates high-quality UI test cases by simply recording real user sessions: you manually navigate your application, Meticulous records your interactions precisely at a high level, and the tool automatically converts these sessions into executable and maintainable tests. Unlike classic record-replay tools which are fragile and unreliable, Meticulous uses AI to create robust and resilient CSS/XPath selectors and to detect visual changes rather than relying on strict DOM assertions that break easily.

Meticulous is completely free and unlimited for non-profit open-source projects, but offers flexible personalized pricing for private repos based on test volume, monthly CI runs and team size. No fixed pricing is officially published: you must contact the sales team for a custom quote. The interface remains English only, with no official French localization announced. The main absolute strength is fast and reliable generation of complete end-to-end tests without writing a line of manual test code, which saves considerable time. The major critical weakness is the complete absence of transparent and published pricing for private projects and the absence of a freemium tier to evaluate the tool in reality before commercial commitment.
