Overview
Power Automate is Microsoft's low-code automation platform: it creates 'cloud flows' triggered by events (new email, file added to SharePoint, form submitted) that execute actions on Microsoft 365 or third-party services via 1000+ connectors. An RPA module (desktop flows) automates tasks on apps without API, by driving the interface like a human would. The Premium plan ($15/user/month billed annually) covers unlimited cloud flows and premium connectors; Process plans ($150/bot/month) and Hosted Process ($215/bot/month) add unattended desktop automation on dedicated machines.
Power Automate is available in French with fully localized interface, Microsoft Learn documentation and product site (microsoft.com/fr-fr), making it a natural choice for French-speaking SMEs already on Microsoft 365. It's particularly relevant for organizations already using SharePoint, Teams, Outlook or Dynamics 365, where native integration greatly reduces setup effort versus third-party tools. Pricing complexity (cloud flows, RPA bots, Copilot credits billed separately) requires guidance to properly size your need.
Our verdict
Recommended for French-speaking SMEs and organizations already on Microsoft 365 wanting to automate internal processes (approvals, notifications, document extraction) without leaving the ecosystem and with French support. Not suitable if your stack isn't Microsoft: tools like Make or n8n, more neutral and often simpler to adopt, suit non-Microsoft environments better.

What drives the bill up
Microsoft prices display tax-excluded and billed annually: add VAT and check actual monthly price before comparing to competitors shown inclusive. The classic trap is crossing from standard to premium connectors (SQL databases, Salesforce, HTTP): the same flow, until now covered by Microsoft 365 license, suddenly requires Premium license at €13/user/month.
