Mixpanel

Product analytics to understand user behavior, test hypotheses and improve conversion

Données & analyse

Overview

Mixpanel is a product analytics platform for tracking user events (clicks, page views, in-app actions) to analyze conversion funnels, build behavioral cohorts, run A/B tests and replay user sessions. The free plan covers up to 1 million events per month, enough for an SME or early-stage startup to instrument its product at no cost. Beyond that, the Growth plan charges for usage (roughly $0.28 per 1,000 events), and an Enterprise plan (on request) adds EU data residency, SSO and dedicated support.

Mixpanel offers no French-language interface: the product and documentation remain English-only, though the company highlights an EU data residency option for Enterprise customers concerned about GDPR. A dedicated program offers the first year free for qualifying startups (recent funding round, small team). The API and SDKs (web, mobile, server) enable deep technical integration but require a product or engineering team to unlock behavioral analytics features.

Our verdict

Best for startups and SMEs with a product team who want to closely analyze user behavior in their application, with a free tier generous enough to get started. Not for you if your team isn't comfortable in English or lacks engineering resources to set up event tracking: onboarding requires some product/data expertise.
