Moz Pro
Historical Moz SEO suite: Domain Authority, keyword research, backlink analysis, technical crawl and visibility tracking in AI responses
Overview
Moz Pro is the historical SEO suite from American publisher Moz, known for its Domain Authority metric that has become a shared industry benchmark. It combines keyword research (Keyword Explorer), backlink analysis (Link Explorer with an index of over 40 trillion links), ranking tracking, technical crawl (Site Crawl) and, in recent versions, an AI response visibility dashboard for ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Mode. The official pricing starts at 49 USD/month for a limited entry plan capped at one site, then Standard at 99 USD/month (79 USD/month annual billing), Medium at 179 USD/month (143 USD/month) and Large at 299 USD/month (239 USD/month); Enterprise is on request. A free 30-day trial is offered. The positioning sits between Ahrefs (from 29 USD/month) and Semrush (around 140 USD/month for Pro).
Moz Pro's interface and docs remain English-only: no French website or support, a main barrier for French-speaking SMEs versus SE Ranking or Mangools, which are better localized. On French SERPs, the keyword index covers the .fr domain correctly and ranking tracking accepts country and city targeting, but long-tail search depth in French lags behind Ahrefs or Semrush, and the link index is thinner than Majestic on European domains. Moz sells a separate links API billed per query, useful for building custom reporting. Last caution: Standard tier quotas (300 tracked keywords, 50 monthly search queries) hit fast managing multiple clients.
Our verdict
Best for SMEs and consultants comfortable in English who want a complete readable SEO suite, with Domain Authority as a shared reference and 30-day trial to test risk-free. Avoid if your team works only in French or you track many keywords: complete lack of localization and tight quotas on the first paid tier make SE Ranking or Mangools more cost-effective.
