Odoo Inventaire
Stock management module of the open-source Odoo ERP, in French: multi-warehouse, barcode, lot traceability, and automatic replenishment
Overview
Odoo Inventaire is the stock management module of the open-source Odoo ERP suite. It handles receipts, deliveries, internal transfers, counts, multi-warehouse and hierarchical locations, traceability by lot and serial number, barcodes and QR codes via a dedicated app, minimum and maximum replenishment rules, purchase-order resupply, putaway and retrieval strategies, and quality control. The editor offers a "One Free App" plan: the Inventory module used alone is free, with unlimited users, hosting, and support included. Beyond one app, the published grid is EUR 24.90/user/month for Standard and EUR 37.40/user/month for Customizable, with advertised discounts on the first twelve months.
Odoo is a Belgian editor whose site, interface, and support exist in French, with French-localized accounting: this is its main advantage over English solutions. The app ecosystem lets you link stock to sales, purchases, manufacturing, point of sale, and accounting without a third-party connector, while an XML-RPC or JSON-RPC API opens custom integration. Connectors to Shopify, WooCommerce, PrestaShop, Amazon, and eBay exist, though part come from community modules whose quality and version tracking vary widely. The main constraint is the pricing model: freedom ends at the second app, yet managing stock without Sales or Purchase modules is rarely enough, and per-user pricing becomes significant for a team of ten. Setup typically requires an integrator.
Our verdict
Best for French SMEs who want a complete ERP foundation in French and see beyond stock, with a free Inventory module letting you test seriously. Not for you if you plan to stay on one app: at the second app the bill moves to EUR 24.90 per user per month, and a proper deployment almost always needs an integrator.
