Planful
Cloud financial planning platform (FP&A) to budget, forecast, and consolidate accounts for growing companies
Overview
Planful is a financial performance management (FP&A) platform covering budgeting, forecasting, reporting, multi-entity consolidation, and close, with a Planful Predict module that uses machine learning to spot forecast variances. The editor claims more than 1,500 customers across nearly a hundred countries and positions itself from mid-market to enterprise, with connectors to ERPs (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and CRMs (Salesforce) to eliminate Excel back-and-forth. Planful publishes no pricing tiers on its site; quotes depend on user count, number of entities to consolidate, and modules enabled (budgeting, close, reporting, HR or marketing planning), and always require a commercial exchange.
Planful does not offer a French-language interface and does not publicly document GDPR compliance or European data residency on its product pages reviewed. An API allows custom integrations beyond native ERP/CRM connectors to NetSuite, Salesforce, Workday, SAP, or Snowflake data warehouse. The tool targets structured finance teams with multiple entities or subsidiaries to consolidate, able to dedicate time to budget modeling within the tool: a 20-person SME with a single entity and simple accounting generally has no need for the complexity or budget of an FP&A tool at this level, more suited from fifty employees or a multi-entity structure with a dedicated controller.
Our verdict
Best for mid-market companies with multiple entities who must consolidate complex budgets and forecasts and want to move away from Excel. Not for you if you're a 20-person SME with a single entity and simple planning needs: the functional richness and request-based pricing, typically high, don't justify the cost at this scale.
