Research Rabbit

Discover connected scientific literature visually, like Spotify recommends music, completely free

Recherche académique & science

Overview

Research Rabbit generates interactive visual maps of scientific literature from one or more starting papers. It identifies prior important work, related papers, and recent publications citing your references, letting you map an entire research field in a few clicks. Zotero synchronization allows you to import your library directly.

The tool is completely free, funded by grants and institutional partnerships. There is no paid plan currently, though a premium subscription is being considered. The current limit is one project per account. The interface is English only. For teams or multiple parallel projects, alternatives like Litmaps or Connected Papers may complement your use.

Our verdict

Best for any researcher or PhD student beginning a literature review who wants to map a field quickly without budget. Not for you if you need to manage multiple simultaneous projects or extract structured data: free tools have organizational limits.
