Sembly AI joins Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and Webex calls as a full participant: the bot announces itself verbally when entering the meeting and can even attend if the user is absent. The tool transcribes, summarizes, identifies speakers and tracks pre-defined keywords, with a search engine over meeting history. Limited free access allows testing the product. The Basic plan is charged at $17 per month ($10 billed annually) for a single user, the Pro plan at $29 per user per month ($20 billed annually) for up to 40 users, and the Max plan at $39 ($30 billed annually) for up to 500 users, with an Enterprise tier on request.

Sembly AI announces 48 transcription languages, including French, but its site and interface remain English-only, without a French version. The editor offers a choice of data residency between the United States and the European Union, with SOC 2 Type II certification and GDPR compliance, and commits not to use Enterprise customer data to train its models. No documented public REST API has been found: only Zapier access and MCP access, limited to Pro and Max plans, allow workflow automation. The visible bot announced verbally can be a drawback in meetings where discretion is preferred over transparency.
