Squibler
AI book and screenplay writing tool with long-manuscript generation and export ready for quick self-publishing
Overview
Squibler generates long manuscripts of 200 to 300 pages while maintaining character, plot, and book or screenplay structure coherence, with an AI-assisted editing module and direct export in PDF, Word (.docx), or ePub ready for self-publishing or submission to a publisher. The free plan, without time limit, includes 1,000 AI credits per month to test book and screenplay generation. The Plus plan ($29.99/month, or $15.83/month with annual commitment, $192/year) unlocks 10,000 monthly credits; the Pro plan ($89.99/month, $49.17/month annually, $588/year) moves to unlimited AI credits.
Squibler writes natively in English; the publisher then offers a text translation function to over 80 languages, including French, but this is a translation of the English-generated text rather than native French writing, an important distinction for judging the literary quality of the result. The website and software interface remain English-only. Squibler does not document any public API for developers, and the publisher highlights no third-party integration (Google Drive, Scrivener) beyond the three export formats offered, which limits the ability to automate an editorial workflow around the tool.
Our verdict
Recommended for an English-language author who wants to quickly generate a first draft of a long manuscript with a free plan to test the tool without commitment. Not for you if you want to write natively in French: the text is produced in English then translated, which is not equivalent to original French writing.
