Overview
STORM (Synthesis of Topic Outlines through Retrieval and Multi-perspective Question Asking) is a research and automated writing system developed by Stanford's OVAL lab. Give it a topic and it conducts multi-perspective web research, structures an outline, and writes a full article with citations, all free via the web interface or self-hosted open source.

Our verdict
A must-have free tool for anyone regularly producing content or thematic syntheses: consultants, trainers, marketing leads, journalists. Not suited to real-time monitoring or proprietary company data. The interface is in English and results are better for English-language topics. Plan for review and adaptation.
