Tableau Pulse is the AI module of Tableau Cloud (Salesforce) that sends intelligent summaries and proactive alerts to your users without requiring them to open a dashboard. AI automatically detects anomalies, trends, and unusual variations, then explains them in natural language directly in Slack, email, or mobile app. Goal: democratize data for non-technical decision-makers.
Tableau Pulse is included with Tableau Cloud Standard (from $75/user/month). Premium features (Tableau Next, Tableau Agent) require Tableau+ at custom pricing. For an SME, the investment is significant but value is real if the team already uses Tableau: insights reach the right decision-makers without relying on an analyst. A French-language interface is available.
Our verdict
Relevant for sales and marketing teams that want to be alerted to anomalies without checking a dashboard every morning. Value-for-money is questionable for micro-businesses: at this price, alternatives like Hex or Rows suffice. Ideal if you're already a Tableau Cloud customer and want to maximize adoption among non-technical users.
