Taranis is the most mature agronomic intelligence platform for early detection of pests, diseases, nutrient deficiencies and weeds: drones and satellites capture sub-millimetre resolution images of each plot, analysed by AI trained on over 500 million data points. Within 24 hours of flight, the advisor receives risk maps and targeted intervention recommendations. The Ag Assistant (generative AI for agronomy) launched in 2024 transforms this data into natural-language recommendations.
The platform is designed for agricultural advisors and cooperatives covering large areas: it integrates with Syngenta ecosystem and John Deere operations centres. The business model is pricing on request, indexed to coverage area, making it inaccessible for a solo farmer under 500 ha.
