Treatwell Pro
Beauty and wellness marketplace paired with management software, no visible subscription but 25% commission on each new customer from the marketplace
Overview
Treatwell is a beauty and wellness marketplace paired with management software for hair salons, barbershops, waxing centers, spas and massage practitioners. The software covers online booking, a digital calendar accessible from anywhere, checkout management, contactless smartphone payment and customer acquisition from the treatwell.fr marketplace. Two plans are offered: Starter and Advanced, the latter adding a professional website and optional salon photo session. No monthly subscription is listed on the pricing page: the publisher is paid through commission, taking 25% on the first booking from a new marketplace customer, 0% on returning customers and 2% on online prepayments, with prices and commissions subject to VAT.
The website, software and support are in French, with a dedicated help center for Treatwell Connect and Treatwell Pro. The real billing focus is not subscription but commission: 25% of a service amount sourced from the marketplace is a significant cut on a haircut or treatment, even if it only applies to first-time visits and never to bookings from your own site or widget. The calculation hinges entirely on your conversion rate to repeat customers. Booking from Facebook and Instagram is possible, import from previous management software is offered, transfers are daily and the publisher states data remains the salon's property. Treatwell does not document a public API. Another limit: Starter and Advanced plans are unpriced anywhere, as is SMS cost.
Our verdict
Best for salons and institutes short on visibility and willing to pay 25% on a new customer from the marketplace in exchange for software with no visible subscription. Avoid if your calendar is already full with loyal clients: the new-customer commission becomes an unnecessary acquisition cost, and lack of a public pricing table complicates comparison.
