Unity AI

Suite of AI tools built into Unity to generate game code, sprites, textures and animations in seconds

3D & video games

Overview

Unity AI is a set of AI tools native to the Unity editor that generates game code, visual assets (sprites, textures, animations) and helps rapid game prototyping. Pricing revolves around a credit system: Personal users receive 1,000 credits for a 14-day trial period, then the Monthly subscription at $10/month offers 1,000 credits per month. Pro ($2,200/year starting 2026, before 5% increase), Enterprise and Industry subscribers get 1,000 credits monthly included in their editor access tier. The credit system relies on OpenAI LLMs and other providers, requiring rapid integration with Unity 6.2 and later.

Unity AI does not offer a French interface: all prompts, documentation and support remain in English. The platform fits Unity's monetization strategy through AI tools rather than an open public API: developers cannot plug in their own custom or open-source LLMs. The monthly credit pricing model may seem attractive on the surface, but credits consume quickly on complex tasks and teams using AI tools intensively face overage charges. For small independent studios without a Pro annual subscription budget, the free trial (14 days) is short, which can be limiting for full evaluation.

Our verdict

Best for existing Unity studios wanting to accelerate game prototyping and rapid asset generation without adding another third-party tool to the pipeline. Not for you if you intend to use proprietary or custom open-source AI models: Unity AI relies exclusively on cloud partners and does not allow fine-tuning or self-hosting.
