Warp

Terminal reinvented with integrated AI agent, structured command blocks and intelligent suggestions for developers

Development & no-code

Overview

Warp is a terminal rewritten from scratch that adds an artificial intelligence layer to the classic shell: structured command blocks, navigable history, intelligent completion and an AI agent capable of executing multi-step tasks (debug an error, write a script, run tests) directly from the command prompt. The pricing tier is based on agent usage credits: the Free plan at $0 gives access to the modern terminal without advanced agentic capabilities; the Build plan from $20/month includes 1,500 credits and full access to the Warp agent; the Max plan from $200/month multiplies credits by twelve (18,000); the Business plan starts at $50/user/month for teams up to 25 seats, with SAML SSO and usage tracking. A 10% discount applies to annual billing.

Warp offers no French interface or documentation: the website, application and guides are exclusively in English. The editor publishes no GDPR commitment or mention of EU data hosting on its pricing pages. Warp exposes developer documentation (docs.warp.dev) and allows triggering cloud agents from integrations like Slack, Linear or GitHub, in addition to support for MCP servers to extend agent capabilities. The main limit lies in the credit-based model: intensive agentic usage depletes the included quota fast, and the Business offer caps at 25 seats, which forces larger organizations to move to the Enterprise offer on request.

Our verdict

Best for developers who want a modern terminal with an AI agent capable of executing complex tasks in supervised autonomy, without changing their command-line habits. Not for you if your team exceeds 25 people or if agentic usage is intensive: the credit-based model makes the bill climb fast beyond the Build plan.
