Grain
Meeting notes and recording with AI summaries, shareable video clips and CRM sync for sales teams
Overview
Grain is a meeting notes and recording tool that auto-joins video calls, transcribes exchanges, produces summaries and action items, and lets you cut shareable video clips. Sales teams also get AI coaching, keyword trackers, interaction metrics and CRM summary sync. The grid is public and clear: a free plan at $0 (unlimited meetings capped at 45 minutes, 30-day history), Starter at $15 per seat per month on annual billing ($19 monthly), Business at $29 per seat per month annual ($39 monthly), and Enterprise on quote.
Grain's interface and site are English-only, with no announced French version, though transcription handles multiple languages. The editor does not highlight European hosting: a point to check if you record customer conversations subject to GDPR, knowing that recording a call imposes informing participants and getting consent anyway. A personal API is included from Starter, workspace API and advanced MCP access from Business, with integrations for Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Slack, HubSpot, Salesforce and Zapier. The limits: the truly useful sales features (CRM, AI coaching, trackers) only unlock at Business tier, and the 45-minute free cap excludes most customer calls.
Our verdict
Best for small teams wanting auto-generated meeting summaries and shareable video clips at a clear price, with a free plan sufficient for short internal meetings. Not for you looking for a French tool or betting your budget on the free plan for customer calls: the 45-minute cap and lack of CRM connectors below Business quickly block commercial use.
